Welcome Red Earth Ferments is run by Rose Whitehouse at Shillingford Organics, based just outside of Exeter in Devon. Recently the production of artisan vegetable ferments was handed over to ‘Shillingford Organics’. The ferments are still made by the same person (Rose), in the same kitchen, and still has with a focus on local food and organically farmed ingredients. Rose runs workshops and classes to teach people to ferment under the name ‘Red Earth Ferments’. These are often in Exeter, Crediton or from her production kitchen on the farm. These classes are seasonally focused, with an emphasis on understanding our local food chain. October Support Your Digestion Sunday 25 October | 1.30pm – 4.30pm An afternoon exploring the connection between fermentation, digestion and the body, with Rose Whitehouse and Zoe Rosenthall. Through hands-on fermentation and guided acupressure, we’ll explore simple seasonal practices to support digestion as we move into the colder months.
